Our office is in Portland, Oregon and we are working in conjunction with "Harvest Moon Records" to network with cutting edge musicians and artists who want to 'make a difference', and help us solve pressing environmental problems.*

"Artists4Action" was started to: "Solve environmental problems with Artistic Collaboration."  We intend to focus national and international attention on critical environmental problems that can be solved by educating the public and raising 'Environmental Awareness'.

Our Director, Cat Koehn is a professional Educator who has been working on wildlife and environmental issues for the past two decades, and now is focusing her own creative talents on building this new organization into a world-class Artist Collaborative that will 'make a difference.'   We decided to create a new independent organization to 'plug in' the growing conservation sentiment that many national artists feel about protecting our environment. 

We envision 'Artists4Action' becoming a powerful force that allows creative talents of all types to join our effort and engender public support for critical problems.  We will also be inviting independent artists and environmental organizations to submit their own worthwhile ideas for prioritization in our on-going efforts.

 

THE 'THEORY OF CASE' - 

Or,  'Why our goals of 'Entertainment-Education-& Inspiration' are going to Work!

There is a new phenomena sweeping Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry, it's called "ECO-Entertainment".     It combines both Environmental Education and Entertainment - and it is a very powerful new force for good!

A prime example of 'EcoEntertainment' is James Cameron's "AVATAR".  It combines ecological lessons with top rate entertainment, and it is now the  "#1 Top Grossing Film of All Time".   Our group is perfectly situated to take advantage of the fact that many top entertainers have environmental leanings, and the public is really inspired when they see folks like Emmy Rossum and U2 advocating environmental causes!

 
Back From 'the Brink'!

We believe in "Thinking Globally & Acting Locally"; & what is happening now is a Salmon CRISIS!     

-Hence, our first EcoEntertainment Project is to 'Save the Salmon' of the Columbia River. 

The 'powers that be' have set the salmon on a collision course with Extinction!

Unless there is a groundswell of environmental support and indignation voiced by the public, the Salmon will continue their precipitous declines,  .....  - until the Columbia River becomes "A River of Ghosts".

                                                  - We do NOT intend to let that happen!
